Teri Rowan, DVM
Dr. Teri Rowan joined Rutherford in July 2008 after graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in 2007. Before attending A&M, Dr. Rowan spent a number of years working in the advertising and film production industry. Dr. Rowan purchased Rutherford Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Vaughn in August 2013.
Dr. Rowan’s medical interests include dentistry, pain management, geriatric care and internal medicine. She also has a strong interest in complimentary therapies such as herbal medicine, acupuncture and food therapy. She has attended and completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Association certification program.
Dr. Rowan currently shares her home with two Rutherford rescues; Megan and Peaches. She is pictured here with Sahara the special dog who inspired her to change her life and become a veterinarian.
Dr. Rowan enjoys coffee with friends, watching movies and traveling.
Ronald Vaughn, DVM (Retired)
Dr. Ronald Vaughn started working at Rutherford Veterinary Hospital in 1969 after graduating from Texas A&M University in 1967 and serving 2 years in the Army. Dr. Vaughn owned Rutherford Veterinary Hospital for 28 years before selling the practice to Dr. Rowan in August 2013.
Dr. Vaughn loves to practice medicine even more today than in the past especially with the great advancements seen in veterinary medicine over the years. The primary reason for his continued growth in this profession is his love of Continuing Education. Dr. Vaughn believes all the advancements in veterinary medicine have enabled our hospital to lengthen the lives of and increase the quality of life of our patients.
Some of Dr. Vaughn’s hobbies include travel, fitness exercise and photography. His photographs can be seen throughout the hospital. Dr. Vaughn is pictured here with Gracie, one of our past clinic pets.
